Positive Affirmations for the Week of November 1-7, Surrender

Greetings! November’s theme is Surrender at DailyAffirm, http://www.DailyAffirm.com. This is the theme that many readers find very challenging. You’ll want to be cognizant of your definition of surrender, which might change as the month progresses.

In this message, I’ll give you a flavor of what to expect on the DailyAffirm Process throughout the next seven says. Check the sidebars for additional information as you need it. Read the messages Day by Day or simply check in when the spirit moves you. If you prefer to receive daily alerts by email, please subscribe to our email list (check the top tab or the navigation bar). Make your process work for you.

About the Over-arching Intention
If you haven’t already done so, please identify your over-arching intention for Surrender. That is, develop a statement that guides you in the exploration and embodiment of surrender. Intention is the energy or consciousness from which actions emerge. If you’re uncertain how to write this intention, just make an attempt. Keep it simple. You have 30 days to work with the intention and the theme, so let your statement change and deepen. Here are a few suggestions for statements of intention about the theme of Surrender: *To surrender to the highest good. *I Am that I Am. *To embody grace in every aspect of my life. *To live each moment unencumbered.

About Releasing/Cleansing Affirmations and Surrender
During this week, release non-surrender. Non-surrender includes such dynamics as resistance, holding on, control, pushing against, fears, and limiting beliefs. As you let go of these dynamics, you might recognize how prevalent they are in your energy field. Depending on your individual consciousness, this may feel debilitating or exhilarating or confusing or empowering. To be in the midst of muck and feel overwhelmed is often disempowering; to be in the midst of muck and experience mastery is empowering. Honor your own individual journey, recognizing that you are not required to demonstrate beyond your consciousness. Your goal is to become conscious. This week, release and let go. Practice the art of surrender.

About Your Process in the First Week

As you proceed through this week, you may choose to select one or more areas in which you wish to focus for your exploration of surrender. While your statement of intention is ideally broad enough to serve as an umbrella over every aspect of your life, a focus on a specific area or relationship may assist you in making all the ideas practical and relevant.

I recommend that you write this week’s affirmations, if such a process appeals to you. I’ve developed a process which is described in the book, "Affirmations: A Pathway to Transformation" and in the article entitled, "Writing Affirmations for Empowerment." This article is posted at one of my Web site along with 40 others, http://www.mhmail.com and then click on Articles by Jeanie.

About the Affirmations in the First Week

If I were to select the definitive affirmation for this week to represent releasing and cleansing for Surrender it would be the affirmation for November 5, "I cut negative bonds of attachment to despair, depression, and desperation. The energy in these old ties is released for more constructive use." Both sentences are important. Remember, you may edit any affirmation to suit your style and mission. For example, you may want to name a person or substance or habit in place of "despair, depression, and desperation." Release means to let go; release also means to recover and to free and to forgive and to relax. Release resistance.

Make this a wondrous week!
