About Today’s Affirmation
This concept can be a challenge for you if you like to be in charge! If you are like most people, you have been taught that you must take control of your own life, that you must control your own destiny. And, indeed, if you feel powerless, your first step out of powerlessness is to acquire control. After you have experienced personal control, though, you must surrender it to Spirit or a higher part of yourself. Shift your belief in human will power as the ultimate, to the belief in the power of the alignment of the human will with the Divine will. You are Divine
About Your Process
As you near the end of the first week with this theme, consider what remains of past experiences for you to release or cleanse or purify as you surrender to a higher part of yourself. Is there resistance? Anger? Confusion? Control? Expectation? Doubt? Fear? Perhaps you do not know what you need to release — that’s fine. Just release the thoughts or memories or messages that suggest shoulds or control or adverse consequences for doing or not doing something. Take a deep breath and release. Release resistance. Release resistance of old stuff so you can uses these emotions to guide you into the future.
As you become aware of specific beliefs that are limiting thoughts, you may wish to return to working with the affirmations of November 1 and November 2. You can adjust either or both affirmations to incorporate the limiting beliefs that you discover, if you choose. You’ll find that writing these affirmations according to the process we have developed will be particularly effective.
