About Today’s Affirmation
The wording of this affirmation could be misinterpreted to mean that unconditional love and positive regard do not exist in the world and need to be imported. I chose this wording because the way I prefer to state this idea could easily be misunderstood in another way! Here are three alternative statements which offer different nuances to the meaning: "My mission is to see unconditional love and positive regard in the world." And: "My mission is to live in unconditional love and positive regard in the world." And: "My mission is to be unconditional love and positive regard in the world." These values already exist in the world; I challenge you to see them, to bring them to a level that is more visible, to live these values, to be these values.
About Your Process
Making the DailyAffirm personal to you requires that you accept full responsibility for what you feel and say and believe. You may find that you want to scratch today’s affirmation and replace it with a statement of your mission with respect to love. Whatever words you choose, make the ideas you choose to focus on worthy of your attention in meditation or reflection. What is your mission with respect to love?
