About Today’s Affirmation
You are ready, right? I often hear people say that they are ready to live the good life, yet are not willing to be what they seek. They want happiness, yet are not willing to be happy right now! They expect happiness to come from outside them — puff! The knight in shining armor. The beautiful princess. The perfect job. The money from the lottery. Everything to make them happy or empowered or satisfied. Many people use affirmations and other techniques to try to manipulate the Universe. However, the world does not work that way. You must BE right now what you desire, because life takes place in the now, in the present. To quote Mahatma Gandhi, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”

About Your Process
Here is an exercise in the form of a series of questions. When I have an interactive dialogue with a client, I can usually get to the significant point in 2-3 questions. When writing this exercise for so many people, I list more questions than I ordinarily need to ask an individual.

  1. What do you most desire in life that you do not now have or experience?
  2. Take a deep breath and go deeper within and again answer question #1. (Your answer may be the same or different with a second asking.)
  3. How do you expect you will feel when you have received or experienced what you most desire? In other words, what is the feeling that you associate with the fulfillment of this desire?
  4. Is this feeling satisfying to you?
  5. If your answer to #4 is "yes," proceed to #6. If your answer to #4 is "no," return to question #1 and repeat the process until you have uncovered the real feelings that are satisfying.
  6. Now that you have identified satisfying feelings, there is nothing stopping you from feeling right now what you say is satisfying to feel. You do not need to wait for an event or condition to feel a feeling.
  7. Be/Feel what you desire. It is feeling good that draws to you what you desire.
